Dr. Chevron Ergle has been named the Arkansas Optometric Association Optometrist of the Year for 2017. This award goes to the one O.D. who has made an outstanding accomplishment during the year. It is generally awarded to a member who has a history of exceptional service to the Association. Susan DeBlack said, "Dr. Chev Ergle has worked tirelessly on behalf of optometry in Arkansas. He is a forward thinker and is always coming up with new ideas and ways to improve our association. He has had a positive impact on almost every area of our association. He had a vision of innovative ways of providing continuing education to our members, and through this idea our very successful online coding course was born. He is a natural leader and is working to develop the next generation of our association leaders by coordinating our inaugural leadership program that will begin later this year."
